Project Description
aMap is an argument mapping tool designed to help individuals to engage, understand and participate in complex arguments that were previously alien to them. In the BBC context we will be looking at how aMap may be used to promote deliberative / collaborative debate on issues from sport to politics, linking from programmes such as Match of the Day to Question Time.

aMap is a collaborative project developed by Delib and the new economics foundation. Delib is one of the UK’s leading e-democracy companies, providing new media solutions to help connect citizens to government at a local, national and european level. The new economics foundation is an independent “think and do” tank. nef’s core ethos is based around the belief in economics as if people and the planet mattered.

It turns out that aMap has a great deal in common with the diminuitive A-lister . . . as after days of knocking our heads against walls it turns out that like Tom Cruise aMap "can't handle the truth"! Arguments... Read more »
