Project Description
A locative, wiki-style application that uses folksonomy and Google Maps to archive and promote experiences/events with geographical positioning. A website/mobile phone application that allows individuals to allocate information about past and future ‘events’ to anywhere on the map. This could be anything that involves people coming together in a particular place or time. Once the event has occurred those involved can attach more information to the map about how it went and what people thought of it. A few button presses on their mobiles and they could download a wealth of information about where they are standing.

Onteca is an interactive media company. We produce content and training materials for the New Media, Creative Arts and Computer Games Industries across a variety of platforms including Film, Animation, Web and Interactive Gaming. We are particularly interested in the application of novel technologies and producing content to support learning in schools, communities and higher education. This content is underpinned by our commitment to the creative process. Onteca Ltd was established in 2001, we have produced interactive content for clients including the BBC, AMD and John Moores University.
