Problem
The Internet is increasingly about Web 2.0 applications – services and platforms rather than simple websites. Interactive TV would benefit greatly from data which is currently only available on the Internet – but how to get it out? We’d like to work with you to develop APIs, widgets and interfaces to some of the most popular and useful Web applications.
Question
Can you provide solid, reliable interfaces to Facebook, Yahoo!, Google services, etc etc?
Can you think in terms of large (TV) screen interaction and visual design – no scrolling, no keyboard, no mouse? Can you show existing work on widgets and sidebars?
Can you fit these APIs into a form that sits well with broadcast graphics? You don’t need knowledge of existing interactive TV platforms –we will help with that – although MHEG, Liberate, and/ or Open TV skills would be useful. A solid engineering background in your team would also help.
