Make it Local – The BBC currently provides a mix of local news, sport, travel and weather information to 56 local areas of the UK, as shown on www.bbc.co.uk/whereilive. We want to extend the reach of the BBC’s existing local content by offering it in new and innovative offerings away from bbc.co.uk. This could include propositions to supply local content via social networking tools on 3rd party websites, or by developing applications for use on mobile devices, or customisable, downloadable widgets for users desktop.
