Content 360 - innovation competition in conjunction with Milia

BBC New Media are working with MIlia - the annual AV and digital content market in Cannes - on Content 360, a new development opportunity for EU new media companies.

Content 360 is co-sponsored by 3 major broadcasters - the BBC, the Korean Broadcasting Commission and the National Film Board of Canada. The BBC competition is only open to EU countries, and the deadline is February 20th. The KBC and NFB competitions are international with a deadline of February 8th.

Content 360 is very much a partner project to Innovation Labs, and the briefs include the 'beyond the browser' themes, but also a focus on mobile content, so this should appeal to everyone who has participated in the Labs project so far. There are four Briefs in the BBC competition:

BBC CATEGORY 1: RICH MEDIA - MADE FOR MOBILE
BBC CATEGORY 2: TOTAL MOBILE INTERACTION & USER GENERATED CONTENT
BBC CATEGORY 3: LONG TAIL CONTENT: NAVIGATING THE BBC ARCHIVE
BBC CATEGORY 4: WEB 2.0: NEXT-GENERATION COLLABORATIVE WEB CONCEPTS

More information and PDF forms are available at the Content 360 site. Selected project from the open call will be invited to come along to Milia 2006 in Cannes and pitch to BBC commissioners, with the winning pitches getting a development award of 15,000 Euros.
