BBC Alive

Ricedog

My design is not intended to be a Flash site but it was the fastest method for me to knock up a design. Also because the BBC website will be used by a range of people, not everyone will have the highest resolution so I designed the site small but easily implemented to higher resolutions.

Play around with the site.
Such features are:
*Move the headlines around at the bottom (This was intended so you could customise and add what news you wanted to see rather than a preset but I tight on time so right now all you can do is move them around) *TV Guide (Also meant to include the BBC Radio Channels but only remembered at the end. Also wanted to add the other channels like Ch4 but wasn't sure if BBC can do that. Unlike Radio Times TV Guide, this is meant to be fast and light) *Listings of BBC programs so you can make it give you a reminder when the programme is almost on or if an episode has been uploaded by the BBC. You can also fave the older episode so you can find them quickly and watch them at convenience. (The favouriting and reminding system isn't functional yet) *Favourites just shows what you are interested in so updates can be monitered *Messages from forums/friends, a community feature *Settings to change the background image, ect... (There's will obviously be more choices but for speed I have only put three) *Search is a search but I was hoping to implement the tags system that Del.icio.us uses

Other stuff that I was hoping to do but failed because of lack of time was that in the Children's/Entertainment section, you could possibly raise an online pet that wanders around your BBC website.

My state of mind for the BBC website was community and a home on the web. Also because of the BBC's resources, it would be ideal if each channel had its own mini forum so people could talk about the programme, ect...
