BBC Feeds
The blue bar at the top of the design is meant to greet users to the revamped BBC website, and will only appear the first time, it also prompts users to choose between the international and UK versions of the site.
The video bar is meant to give easy access to feeds of the BBC channels and, the tab system lets users access radio and downloads (podcasts, videos etc), without taking up extra space.
The modules below are moveable like in Netvibes and can be edited to include any BBC content, including outside RSS feeds.
The "Project: Planet Earth" idea is basically a sort of WikiAtlas with the idea of creating a ground level view of effectively the entire world. The premise is that users take photos of their local area, upload them and then tag on a map were the photo was taken.
