BBC HUB

TK

BBC has massive amount of great contents, and it will be easily tempted to try to showcase everything BBC has to offer all on the home page. But that strategy will backfire because it will be too overwhelming for users to absorb all those content and directions, in result a poor user experience. And here are some of solutions to improve the user experience.

The new BBC HUB brand:
"Homepage" is too misleading for user, as BBC has many "homepages" to each of their website, such as "Weather Home" HUB will be a much more meaningful term, as homepage is the HUB to all BBC content, it's the starting point, a hub that connect both contents and its users.

Content contribution:
This allows a true 2 way communication between BBC and its users. This will ultimately create a community that proves new and unique contents 24/7. Contents of such as video and information much akin to a hybrid of YouTube and Wikipedia. The user is both reader and the ultimate "live reporters"

Customization
A 3 step customizations that will take less then 2 min to complete, using simple radio check boxes that most users will be very familiar with. If they prefer not to customize, they can just skip the process and allow the system to configure it self depends on how user use the site. Like, click ratio of individual BBC contents. They chose what matters to them.
