I had wanted to do a little more to demonstrate my idea but as it is I have run out of time.
In production the iPlayer should have a still from the featured content much like the current home page rather than a pointless red background. The content box below the player would load new content into the iPlayer - and Flash video to be more accessible to folks who don't use realplayer.
My idea was to allow users to choose their own feeds for the news displayed on left, through an interactive interface reorder the elements and add additional feeds. Of course you could have a pre-defined set of feeds for international news, sport, entertainment and such.
Also the box below the iPlayer seems to behave a bit funky in Internet Explorers so apologies to anyone stuck using it. I would normally debug and fix such things but time seems to be evanescent.
Any way comments and feed back welcome, also I'd like to say well done to everyone that submitted a design there's some really great ones.
