Modern Grey

Sam

I've been working on this all weekend. I wouldn't think it to be a something that could actually be the homepage. I saw the competition on the BBC Website and I thought it was a great challenge and I feel I've done an OK job. It's not perfect or 'Web 2.0'. It's just and entry using the RSS feeds from the BBC with Flash.

Though I am sorry to say that there is a small error and the RSS feeds aren't working so everything will just say 'Loading...'; but I expect you'll get the idea.

I've tried to do something completely different from the current page and I feel I've done that.
If I had time I'd add the ability to personalise the RSS feeds with cookies but it would take a long time considering I'm using flash.

It's been made for a resolution that is higher than most. This is causing it to break up.

The draggable windows thing is a good idea though.

I know this is "web 2.0" and stuff (whatever that means...) but I have flash disabled by default. Flash buttons are a bad idea, but flash for anything which isn't vital, such as a big featured-item image would be ok.

Well I did make the reslution a bit big, its because my monitor is quite hi-res and I don't think I really thought about other monitors and I am planning to change it soon

Well you're eleven years old, by the time you are my age (29) i expect you'll be making some very nice websites. Nice try!
