My BBC

Tim Rogers

This entry, I admit was not a particuarly thought up idea, it was just what came into my head at the time, and I am happy with the result.

As is clear, it is a modular custom homepage system based on current offerings such as Live.co.uk, Google IG and PageFlakes. However, I feel that in a real situation, people would use BBC's version, as it has the best news in the UK, an easy way to see what's going to be on television and experts at its disposal.

If I had the time/money to improve this, I feel it would definetly benefit from some kind of API to allow the public to create more diverse modules, which would mean that it could be more than just BBC, people could make there own functional addons

like a to-do list for example.

I would also, for the end user create an easy module creation, which allows you to imput the URL of an RSS feed, and optionally give it a title, and then display it.

An interesting idea, which has quite a bit of potential.
