My (Very red) BBC
My main idea for the BBC Reboot was to have a homepage that was clean, clear and wasn't overloaded with text and links to information people visiting the site may not be interested in.
The top box would have 5 main sections Latest news, sport, tv, radio and local area information. The user could then login and filter these sections to only show the information they are interested in. For example people could select to only see tennis news in the sport section or entertainment news in the news section.
The other main area is the favourite pages box. This could work two ways. Either pages that you visit often are recorded and stored in this box, or a button could be placed on every page to allow people to manually select their favourite pages. This box would act as a list of shortcuts to your favuorite areas of the BBC website. Allowing people to skip straight to the information they are interested in.
