reboot:BBC

Andrew

My design for the reboot:bbc.co.uk BBC home page is designed to be a clear modern design. I have tried to make all the important sections still easily accessible.

I have used curved boxes which is much softer and more appealing that sharp straight edges boxes.

The page has been designs for a resolution of 800x600. Although most web users now use 1024x768 plenty of people still use 800x600.

If I was the redesign the BBC Home page I would make it even more personalised. At the moment you can personalise you location so you can get your local weather and news etc but it would be good if you logged on to the BBC site and it was able to tell you about things you may want - e.g. the Chris Moyles show podcast, the latest premiership news.

what does 'still cant it?' mean on the design?

check your grammar!

I didn't realise it was a 'spelling bee' as well as a design competition ;-)

I like this one, easy on the eye with the darker colours, [not sure if that is an accessibility issue or not]and there is plenty of scope for more content lower down the page without looking all cluttered.
